This 150th Anniversary Boker Applegate fixed blade is outfitted with green curly birch handle scales and a gold Boker Tree medallion inlay. Boker is celebrating 150 successful years in the knife business with a special series of their most popular knives throughout the years.
Boker’s reissue of the Applegate-Fairbairn Fighting Knife uses a rich curly birch wood handle, thickened in the center for a sure grip. A lanyard hole adds convenience. The handle meets a short, forward-bending cross guard that protects the fingers. Boker achieved the knife’s preferred rearward balance by inserting steel weights into the handle – a beautifully ergonomic design. The 5.5″ blade on this knife has effective reach, with a 1″ wide dagger blade that’s beefy all the way to the tip. It’s struck of Solingen 440C stainless steel that is hardened to a Rockwell of 58. Item includes a durable leather sheath.
